Relational Integration Container

You can be fine on your own. The moment you are with certain people, something changes — and you don't always have access to what does.

The response that takes over in those moments has been in place longer than this relationship.

When the same version of you appears across different connections,
the work addresses what those connections share.

For clients seeking relationship hypnotherapy in Charlotte, NC, Relational Integration provides a defined structure for individual work. A container is a defined structure of work: one assessment session, ten hypnotherapy sessions and six integration sessions, over four to eight months. It is not a separate issue. It is how we work when a pattern repeats across your relationships. The issues people bring to it are described in Hypnotherapy for Relationships, Hypnotherapy to Get Over a Relationship and Hypnotherapy for Hyperindependence.

Relational Integration — for relational patterns that repeat. Different people, different contexts, the same dynamic showing up reliably with certain people.

  • You give more than you intended to give.
  • You say yes when you meant no.
  • You hold back what you wanted to say.
  • You stay in the interaction even when something feels off.
  • You lose clarity about what you actually feel.
  • Or you pull away before you can name why.

Different people. Different relationships.
The same version of you.

Afterward, the clarity arrives. You can see exactly what happened. You can identify the moment it started and what you could have done differently.

That clarity was not available when it mattered.

Something is already becoming active before the interaction fully unfolds. The response was already running.

The people change. The relational response stays the same.

Certain interactions can bring back a familiar way of responding, even when the person in front of you is different.

This is why the same dynamic can reappear across different relationships.

The person in front of you changes each time. The shift inside you stays the same.

Different people. The same shift in connection.

The shift in connection is where the work begins

Deep Pattern Restructuring addresses a response that repeats across different parts of your life. Relational Integration builds on that work when staying connected to your own needs, judgment and boundaries becomes difficult in close relationships. This is individual work with you.

The work addresses the automatic shift that takes over in connection — how quickly you stop relating from your own position and what becomes difficult to hold onto while you are with them. This includes relational patterns following a breakup, codependency dynamics that persist despite awareness, jealousy and insecurity that exceed the situation.

Examples of concerns we can work with

You may recognize more than one of these in your relationships:

  • You take responsibility for keeping a relationship together, while your own needs keep getting put aside.
  • You find it difficult to say no to someone close to you because you fear losing the connection.
  • You keep trying to manage how your partner feels or behaves, and it leaves you exhausted.
  • Conflict pulls you into defending yourself, going quiet or saying things you later regret.
  • After a separation, you are still caught in guilt, resentment or responsibility for the other person.

These are examples of concerns I have worked with, not promises of a particular result. What we address, and how far the work needs to go, depends on your situation.

You may be the person everyone relies on and still struggle to ask for support yourself. This composite case study explores how being needed can become easier than letting yourself receive care.

Read the composite case study: When Being the Strong One Leaves You Alone.

The work aims to help you:

  • Recognize what you feel during an interaction, rather than only afterward.
  • Decide what to say, whether to stay and what to allow.
  • Choose closeness or distance without falling into the same familiar response.
  • Stay connected to your own position when a familiar dynamic appears.

The engagement opens with a fixed three-week cadence: assessment in week one, first hypnotherapy session in week two, second in week three. From week four, hypnotherapy sessions continue biweekly through the main phase. Six integration sessions are scheduled between hypnotherapy appointments across the container. They provide time to review what you notice in daily life and what needs attention as the work continues.

Sessions Assessment + 10 hypnotherapy
+ 6 integration
Duration 4 — 8 months

This container includes one assessment, ten hypnotherapy sessions and six integration sessions in total, including the earlier stages of work. Continuing from Deep Pattern Restructuring adds four hypnotherapy sessions and two integration sessions. Continuing from Focused Pattern Work adds eight hypnotherapy sessions and six integration sessions. Payments already made for the included earlier work are credited toward the total investment.

You can commit to the full container from the beginning or proceed in agreed stages. We discuss how you will begin during the Clarity Call.

Continuing into a larger container depends on what further work is needed.

The assessment runs 60–90 minutes. Hypnotherapy sessions run 90–120 minutes. Working sessions are available in person in Cornelius or online via Zoom.

Reassessment closes the engagement — determining whether the work is complete, whether another phase is necessary, or whether you are ready to integrate independently.

This work is appropriate for high-functioning individuals with the capacity to engage emotionally demanding work with stability. It is not appropriate during active crisis, with untreated severe psychiatric conditions, or without prior stabilization of active addiction.
