Hypnotherapy for Childhood Trauma, Charlotte, NC

You may remember enough about childhood to understand that some of what happened then is still affecting you now. You may notice it most in relationships. How difficult it is to ask for what you need. How quickly you accommodate. How much harder it becomes to know what you want once another person matters to you.

You may have spent years understanding these patterns. You may understand them very well.

Or the connection to childhood may not be clear at all.

You notice reactions that seem larger than the moment. There may be stretches of childhood you cannot clearly remember. You may find yourself asking, why can't I remember my childhood? without knowing what, if anything, that means.

You do not need to decide what those experiences mean before beginning.

Relational Patterns

If the difficulty shows up most when another person gets close, that is where to look first.

Asking for something may feel disproportionately difficult. You become highly aware of the other person's mood before you have fully registered your own. Or you feel clear about yourself when alone and much less clear once someone matters to you.

You may know where some of this began. You may not.

Relationship hypnotherapy Charlotte looks more closely at what happens in connection with other people.

Hypnotherapy for losing sense of self focuses specifically on the experience of becoming harder to locate when closeness, attachment, or another person's needs enter the picture.

Memory and Disconnection

Your questions may be different.

Maybe there are stretches of childhood you simply do not remember clearly. Something in the present produces a strong reaction, but you cannot connect it to a particular event. Or you remember what happened without feeling that the memory fully explains what happens now.

Memory gaps can have many causes, and a gap by itself does not establish that trauma occurred or that a specific memory has been repressed.

If memory is part of what brings you here, the work should not begin by assuming what you are supposed to remember.

Hypnosis for memory retrieval explains this area of the work in more detail, including its limits and appropriate use.

You also do not need to choose between "relationship" and "memory" before reaching out. Your experience may not divide that neatly.

The consultation is where we begin with what you actually notice now.

You can begin with what you know.

You do not need a complete explanation of childhood. You do not need to recover a particular memory or decide exactly where a pattern came from.

We can start with what is happening now and find out whether this approach makes sense for what you are experiencing.
